Where to Buy Presidential in New York

Presidential is wholesale. It does not sell direct, to anyone. Every blunt, pre-roll, mini and jar of Moon Rocks reaches you through a licensed New York dispensary that chose to carry the brand.

This page lists every one of them.

They are grouped by the eleven vacation regions I Love NY uses to divide the state, because New York is not one place. The drive from Brooklyn to Niagara Falls is longer than the drive from Brooklyn to Chicago, and the country in between changes completely — mountains, lakes, farmland, and a canal that built the state.

When Presidential started in Los Angeles in 2012, New York was not a legal market. It is now one of the largest in the company's footprint.

What this page can and cannot tell you. It tells you which dispensaries carry Presidential. It cannot tell you what is on the shelf today — each shop decides independently what to stock, and that changes by store and by week. Use the search at the bottom to find the closest one to you.

Every retailer on this page is a licensed New York dispensary that carries Presidential, supplied directly by our own retail partners.

New York City

New York City skyline and harbor under a bright sky

Five boroughs, three hundred square miles, and the densest cannabis retail market in the state.

Close to two-thirds of Presidential's entire New York network sits inside the city limits, spread across twenty-six distinct neighbourhoods and districts — a concentration unlike anything in the rest of the state.

That is not surprising, and the shape of it still is. New York City retail is not one market. Manhattan below 96th Street behaves differently from Washington Heights; Bushwick differently from Bay Ridge; Astoria differently from the Bronx. Twenty-six locations means the brand reached across boroughs rather than clustering in one.

The strain named for the city. NYC Diesel is in the Presidential catalogue, and its pack is the only one in the entire line built around a landmark. A pale full moon fills the background. The Statue of Liberty stands in front of it, torch raised, flanked by the skyline, the whole scene rising out of rolling green-and-yellow smoke. Marked Hybrid, built on flower, live resin and diamonds.

Capital-Saratoga and the Adirondacks

Capital-Saratoga architecture and Adirondack mountain landscape

Two official regions, combined here because they share a corridor and the Adirondacks carry a single shop.

Capital-Saratoga is Albany, Troy, Schenectady and Saratoga Springs — the state capital and the towns around it. The New York State Capitol took thirty-two years to build and cost more than the entire Erie Canal. Saratoga has been a racing town since 1863 and a spa town longer than that.

The Adirondacks north of it are the largest protected area in the contiguous United States — six million acres, forty-six high peaks, and more lakes than anyone has counted. Lake George runs thirty-two miles.

Nine cities across Capital-Saratoga carry Presidential, plus one in the Adirondacks. Together they make this the second-largest regional block in the state.

Finger Lakes, Central New York and the Thousand Islands

Finger Lakes shoreline, Central New York, and Thousand Islands scenery

Three official regions, one section, running from the middle of the state to the Canadian border.

The Finger Lakes are eleven long narrow lakes gouged by glaciers, with more than a hundred wineries on their shores. Ithaca sits at the bottom of Cayuga; Watkins Glen's gorge trail climbs past nineteen waterfalls.

Central New York is Syracuse and the country around it — Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame, Howe Caverns, the Erie Canal running east to west.

The Thousand Islands-Seaway follows the St Lawrence River along the Canadian border, where the river is scattered with more than eighteen hundred islands, some of them large enough for a castle and some barely large enough for a tree.

Five cities in the Finger Lakes carry Presidential, with three more in Central New York and one in the Thousand Islands. Together this block matches Capital-Saratoga as the second-largest in the state.

Hudson Valley and the Catskills

Hudson Valley river and Catskills mountains in autumn

The river corridor north of the city, and the mountains west of it.

The Hudson Valley runs from the edge of the metro up to Albany — Beacon, Kingston, Rhinebeck, Hyde Park, and the Walkway Over the Hudson, which is the longest elevated pedestrian bridge in the world. The Hudson River School painters worked here, which is why the landscape looks familiar even if you have never seen it.

The Catskills rise to the west — thirty-five peaks above thirty-five hundred feet, the region that invented the American vacation, and now a mountain-town economy of hiking, distilleries and small main streets.

Eight cities in the Hudson Valley carry Presidential and three in the Catskills.

This is the first block north of the city, and it behaves like a transition — city weekenders on one end, genuine rural country on the other.

Greater Niagara and Chautauqua-Allegheny

Greater Niagara falls and Chautauqua-Allegheny landscape

The western end of the state.

Greater Niagara is Buffalo, Niagara Falls and the country between them. Six million cubic feet of water go over the falls every minute. Buffalo has one of the finest collections of American architecture anywhere — Sullivan, Wright, Richardson — and an Olmsted park system older than the one in Boston.

Chautauqua-Allegheny is the state's southwest corner: Chautauqua Lake, the Allegheny foothills, Lake Erie wine country, and the National Comedy Center in Jamestown.

Ten cities across Greater Niagara carry Presidential — the widest city spread of any New York region outside the city itself, from a region with a fraction of the population.

Chautauqua-Allegheny currently has no retailer carrying Presidential. It is named here because it is one of the state's eleven official regions and because that will not always be true.

Long Island

Long Island coastline and lighthouse under a clear sky

A hundred and eighteen miles of island east of the city.

Nassau County at the western end is dense suburb. Suffolk stretches east into farmland, then splits into two forks — the North Fork with more than sixty wineries, the South Fork with the Hamptons and Montauk at the very end. The Atlantic runs the entire south shore.

Seven cities on the island carry Presidential.

Long Island is a seasonal market in a way the rest of the state is not. The population of the East End multiplies in July and empties after Labor Day, and retail out there moves with it.
